Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a mid-sized law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling a wide range of complex litigation matters. This role is ideal for a self-motivated paralegal who can work independently across multiple files.

Position Overview

The Paralegal will assist attorneys in all phases of business litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate is well-organized, proactive, and experienced managing deadlines and litigation filings in state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support across all phases of cases
  • Communicate professionally with clients and witnesses, both written and verbally
  • Review court documents and orders to identify and calendar deadlines
  • Organize case files, prepare privilege logs, deposition summaries, charts, and trial exhibits
  • Assist with pre-trial and trial preparation
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery, status reports, and fee agreements
  • Prepare, Bates stamp, and manage document productions
  • Handle e-filing and service of pleadings and discovery in state, federal, complex, and appellate courts
  • Utilize litigation calendaring systems, including Compulaw
  • Assist with task-based insurance billing requirements, budgets, and reports as applicable

Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certificate required
  • Minimum 3 years of legal experience in litigation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Pro (Excel a plus)
  • Experience filing and serving documents using platforms such as One Legal, File & ServeXpress, Trufiling, Case Home Page, and Case Anywhere
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court rules
  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlines
  • Prior trial experience, unlawful detainer, or class action experience a plus (not required)
  • Familiarity with task-based insurance billing a plus
